报告摘要：This session focuses on the fundamentals of effective academic writing while situating Generative AI (GenAI) as a supporting tool in the scholarly publishing process. Participants will revisit key principles of writing a strong journal article, including developing a clear research question, structuring a coherent manuscript, and communicating arguments with precision, clarity, and proper evidence. The session then explores how Large Language Models (LLMs) can assist with tasks such as drafting, language refinement, and literature exploration, while emphasizing the importance of critical thinking, author responsibility, and adherence to ethical and publishing standards. Attention is given to challenges such as accuracy, bias, and transparency, alongside current policies for responsible AI use. By combining core academic writing practices with practical guidance on GenAI, this session equips researchers to produce high-quality, rigorous manuscripts while using AI tools responsibly and effectively.

报告人简介：With a background spanning over 10 years marketing academic products to global audiences, most recently within Elsevier’s Energy and Earth Sciences portfolio, Franca transitioned into publishing in 2025. She now works directly with researchers to support them in finding the right home for their work, bringing a strong author- and market-focused perspective to the process. She collaborates closely with Editors to shape strategy across a portfolio of 13 surface science journals, with a particular focus on growth, positioning, and community engagement. Her career spans organizations including Oxford University Press, ResearchGate, University of Exeter Press, and Peter Lang, and she has been with Elsevier for over five years.
